Dr. Jeff Gangel
Jeff Gangel’s life began on May 3, 1960 in Goshen, IN as the first-born son of Dr. and Mrs. Kenneth O. Gangel. He grew up in Kansas City, KS where he received Christ as his Savior at the age of five. Middle school years were spent in Chicago and High School days in Miami, FL. Jeff attended Miami Christian College and received a B.A. in Church Ministries in 1982.
Life got interesting when he married Beth Durksen on July 31, 1982. They settled in Dallas, TX where Beth began her elementary teaching career and Jeff attended Dallas Theological Seminary and served as Assistant Pastor of the Alliance Bible Church. In 1986, Jeff was ordained for ministry with the Christian & Missionary Alliance.
“Real” life began in 1987 when Jeff graduated with a ThM from DTS. Lyndsey Rose was born in September of that year and the family began their first full-time ministry at Bethel Independent Presbyterian Church in Houston, TX with Jeff serving as the Assistant Pastor of Christian Education and Music. Bradley David joined the team in 1989, rounding out this family of four.
Life took a dramatic turn in 1995 when Jeff took the position of Campus Pastor at Toccoa Falls College in northeast Georgia. He finished work on his Doctor of Ministry degree in 1999, graduating again from Dallas Theological Seminary with a focus in Christian Education and Pastoral Ministry. He continues to serve as the Director of Spiritual Formation and Campus Pastor at Toccoa Falls College.
Jeff loves pastoring God’s flock at TFC. His ministry strengths are in the areas of mentoring, teaching and administration, but he also enjoys writing and simply encouraging others. When he’s not working, Jeff loves to snuggle with his wife, travel and hike with his family and play tennis with his friends and his co-workers.
